from s//kimo's current list: "The entire Studio 1 12" series has been repressed, in a remastered edition. Tremendous pulsic minimalism from Mike Ink, a selection of which has been presented on the Studio 1 CD" I have got this CD and am wondering whether the vinyls are one- sided tracks only? There are all 12 colours listed on the CD - is this the total of the releases, or were there B-sides too? Un-relatedly and totally un-IDM-y: Did any of you catch The Cure live on Conan O'Brien??? The current track didn't bowl me over, but WOW ! The programme played out with them doing "A Forest" - the first Cure track I fell in love with, and what a joy to see them performing it in 2000. there were 10 releases, most with either 2 or 3 tracks. the cd has 4 or 5 unreleased tracks. i tried burning cds of the vinyl and its around 4 cds worth, so its a good sampler, but if you dig the sound, pick up the vinyl. there were also some studio one releases for the kreisel series and at least one for profan (keep on rockin). cl --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- Share what you know. Its a shame the 'keep on rockin' on profan is the weakest IMO. If you really, really like the CD Id suggest getting the 12's because I feel they didnt necessarily include the best tracks on the CD comp - Yellow, Silver and Gold 12s in particular had tracks I was shocked the CD left out ernie Ernesto Ikerd, (817) 763-4795 Company Graphics, Dept 17, MZ-4202 Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Fort Worth, Texas --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
