I hate posting this kind of thing here, but I know there's a few musicians lurking about ... I have a cassette player. I have a PowerMac 8500 with 16-bit RCA audio inputs. Another PowerMac 8500 at work has a Pinnacle Micro CD-WO unit on it, which is normally used (with Toast, I think?) to burn CD copies. How do I go from tape to burning a CD of the music on the tape? I'm not aware of any simple audio recorders for the Mac. Ideally, I'd like something that could record each side of the tape, and somehow provide a means to splice the 4 sides together (probably with fade out/fade in for the discontinuities as the tape is flipped/changed), and then have it stored in some sort of format that the Toast software would understand so that it would be willing to write the audio data to the CD-WO and thus be playable afterwards. Any help/enlightenment/suggestions much appreciated. - Greg P.S. Gilbert, nice meeting you last night, how the phuque did you smuggle a tape recorder inside Organic and yes please, I'd love a copy :-)
