As a little brithday present to and by myself, I got the Maurizio compilation and the new Mouse on Mars lp. The Maurizio is very fine indeed, if you like the Basic Channel sound. Rumbling, splashing and etching its way into your listening heart. Nice metal box too, like the Vainqueur album. I believe it has an edit of one of the tracks from M7, which has been mentioned lately. This afternoon I played Quadrant Q1.1 about 5 times in a row. Mmmm - nice. I'll review the MoM when I've listened to it properly. Sounded good from a brief skim - continuing in the Iaora rather than Vulvaland vein. Yes, the Plaid EP is very good - I was a little unsure at first, but the first and third tracks are very fine indeed, particularly Headspin. The Ae just hasn't grabbed me in the same way. As for the Plaid LP, well, I couldn't possibly comment. adam

the BC comp _was_ reissued in a silver box. But there is also a compilation of Maurizio tracks available. (I guess the 2 you have are Vainqueu and Porter Ricks, right?) I don't know the listsing for the M CD as I don't have it yet :( but I suspect that the original poster managed to confuse the issue somewhat here as I wouldn't expect Q1.1 to be on it. btw If you like those silver tins, look out for a compilation on Eye-Q recently which also comes in one!
