On a recent visit to a record store I listened to the new Clear titles and the new Jega(didn't buy anything 'cause I was spending too much money on a Prince show). I was vey disappinted ion the Jega release but I thought their last 12" was the least interesting thing on Skam. I relly beleive the new one to be worse. Even bigger disapointment is the shit quality vinyl that Clear is pressing. The new releases are some of the best material that they have pressed but the sound of the vinyl is terrible! Looks like starting with Metamatics the quailty started going downhill. Reflection and other recent releases appear to be pressed on thick vinyl but the grooves aren't cut very deep into the vinyl. The result is a thinner sound with more surface noise. Anyone else expereinced this? I would like to think that it was just a bad pressing lot that I saw.
