For the record, I found a 303 for $150 on the net in 1992. I later sold it for $500 to buy a snowboard. I kept falling off the 303, and it didn't slide very well. I think there is a little _too_ much reverence for the 303/808/909 boxes in the techno community. People look at someone's gear and give the big "thumbs up" if they've got a glorious Barney Miller box in their rack. I'm a lot more impressed if someone can use something that isn't standard supply to carry a tune. The 303 is essential in making that "acid" sound, but so is a saxophone in jazz.
