The sale that I said I would privately auction starts after Monday...this
coming, Monday
the 5th (Cinco de Mayo!).....Thanks to the group of folks who privately
emailed me a week or so ago. Anyone else interested in privately emailing
me their name
so that I can email the list back? This sale is all vinyl and generally
IDM/Ambient /Techno/ a few other pieces. I think it's a nice batch,
although its not as big as I had expected. I just
can't get rid of anything anymore! PS: A rare LP that has been the
discussion on recent IDM posts will be in it.
A couple more things...
one,
I hope that within in a week, the IDM list will be flooded with
responses to the last thread most eloquently penned by Sean Cooper
concerning, amongst other things, the relative state(s) of the recording
industry. It is rare that such an honest and upfront viewpoint gets
posted to this list which is most often preoccupied with irrelevant,
personal, laughable flames and ego trips. Thank you, Sean. Sean,
list...I will contribute a 2 cents worth further, but not now...I'm going
to bed...more later.
two,
Anyone out there know anything about an independent, sorta' drum and bass
CD (LP,too?)
by an outfit from San Francisco called 'Matmos'? I heard a demo in the
office that was very
very interesting...but know nothing of them? I'd cite more but I don't
have the CD here.
Again, picture drum and bass *without* the breakbeats. Very cool. Look
out for it.
last idea: Are there any hip hop lists? I've seen websites, I'm looking for
a list.
np: NYC spring night post warm day, grandfather clock, creaky chair, cat,
Puerto Rican
cheesey house music next door ( on that tip, wheres the *salsa* drum and
bass at?)
