I think it's a brilliant album, though, as you say, patchy; really
eerie at times, like Joe Meek meets King Tubby downtown, but gives the
irritating pretenders like St. Etienne (I know, I know, someone's going
to take their flamethrowers out for this) a run for their money with
what comes to combining great pop melodies with a top-notch production
like only Messieur Weatherall can manage it :)
