Not to mention the acne-scarred Taiwanese(?) guy. They appear together in the "Amoeba" vid and in the "praying" pic on the Dead Cities inlay. Does the DC book explain these two characters any more? The running suspicion at my house is that the guy is called Vit. The girl is given modeling credit on Lifeforms, but that seems to be all. Response to the new album on the list has been interesting, insofar as most of the disappointment seems to stem from the fact that it sounds like FSOL. All I can say is that if more people could do what they do, I'm sure they'd be doing it. I've tried it and it's damn hard. =) I like it, but possibly like the stuff on _My_Kingdom_ more. FSOL seem to be particularly strong at e.p.-length journeys. Pleased to see Yello mentioned on the list. I can't admit to ever being a raging snarling fan, but they were seriously innovative and unique/bizarre. Adventurous souls should definitely pick up either of their best-ofs. Still looking for a review of Quoit (M.J. Harris) ... --Seofon

They're still around, and have a new album out momentarily. But after Zebra there's an argument to be made that their "seriously innovative" days are behind them. (Yello mailing list: email majordomo@xmission.com with "info yello" in body) -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo)
