Due to the overwhelming response to this record (and the compilation cd), and all speak of remixes, I was actually wondering if the A-side on this record is printed correctly? I am referring to the no. 8 (Ae remix) and the 9 (Funkstorung remix) tracks. I was playing it the other day on the show and realised that Ae's remix did not really strike me as them doing it- and the Funkstorung remix sounded a lot more like what Ae would do. In fact the remix of no.8 sounds a lot more like what Funkstorung would do - fast and distorted. Can anyone inform further - is this a misprint? I don't have the cd version but can anyone that has both the cd and the record check that the tracks listed on both formats match the record version. And isn't it curious that this particular Fatcat record looks a bit like some of the DIN records. And I've always thought of Funkstorung as emulating earlier Ae (among other things--and I'm not saying this is bad, either). So I never questioned the origin of the mixes on this release... -Ed --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

As far as I know, this is incorrect information. Various Artists is Thorsten Profrock. Sascha Brauer may indeed be the label head of DIN records, but I don't know that myself. Check out the interview at Circonium regarding the Berlin sound: http://home.snafu.de/circonium/music/future.html Cheers, Bill / dj marathon merck wrote:
