did anyone else make it out to see matmos tonight? i missed (im
guessing) about the first five minutes or so but what i saw was pretty
interesting. they ended the performance by inflating three large balloons
with helium and attaching a (cassette? micro-cassette?) player to the
balloons and let it rise to the top of the room. the cassette sounded
like they had recorded a little child who was humming some sort of
melody. i enjoyed the performance enough to say that it was worth the
hour long bart trip out to sf. i also met someone (i thought she said
her name was victoria-- im really bad with names...) who is playing on
kzsu 90.1 fm tonight at 10pm if your in the area. im not too sure what
its going to be as we didnt get much of a chance to talk, but she said it
was mostly sample based. should be worth checking out none the less.
anyway, if youd like to share anything about the matmos performance
tonight id like to hear from you.
thanks
matt.
