Sorry to draw attention away from the Goa is it intelligent
theme, but yesterday I walked into my local record shop and
found a new St.Germain single. Well actually I think that
it's new inrespect of it re-releasing tracks. Well, having
Heard that Ludovic Navarre (Modus Vivendi-Deepside etc..)
was St.Germain, I felt elated at finding this 6 tracker (on
the CD, haven't seen the vinyl yet) for a rather cheap
price. i had heard, however, that the St.Germain project
was alot more Housey, so I felt inclined to take this CD to
the counter, and asked for it too be played. The first
track came on, and i was lost, this surely wasn't the man
who was a great French Techno artist. It had bluesy lines,
which i really didn't like. Well it was only the first
track. On to the second track....More bluesy stuff, not
really house, kind of like the first track. O.K. well maybe
the next would be the return to force...Nope. So I didn't
buy it. It wasn't Alabama Blues, incase that was what you
were thinking. I was mortally dissapointed. I've got
nothing against blues, I quite like it, but this just wasn't
very good.
Then I found a cheap copy of Limelight on FAX, (CD). Dj
Brainwave and Pete Namlook make up limelight. I returned to
the counter, asking to play it. The man behind the counter
searched under like every concievable section but couldn't
find the CD, so I had to go home dissapointed.
Better Luck Today, I hope..
NICK.
P.S. the new Ken iishi album jellytones came out in the U.K.
on Monday.
