Let me start by saying that this is my first post on the idm board (even
though I've been reading the idm board for months). Although many of you
have already discussed Uziq's Salsa & Mesquite it finally came to my
town(Boulder,Co) last week and I was blown away. Mike P. going in a few
different directions on this EP. track 4 (REFLECTIV) has quite of a
'rock' structure to it, which is great.(especially that guitar sound at
towards the end of the track) As always this guy knows how to deliver.
The melodies very catchy, the drumbeats funky yet intense in the true
REPHLEX/APHEX tradition. (ya' i know this was on the Astralwerks label)
Enough about that, can anyone supply me with a complete
discography of Uziq releases (excluding Jake S.). If anyone reading this
has a copy of BLUFF LIMBO please please e mail me. i would like a copy
if you will. I send a blank tape or $, I just wanna hear the damn thing!
I doubt anyone would give up an original(unless they were ignorant). So
please help your idm brother so he too can know Mike P.'s early magic on
BLUFF LIMBO. If you have any thing else to say about Salsa & Mesquite go
ahead I love the varying opinions on the idm board.
