If I am not mistaken, Spacepimp is the artist formerly known as Acen who made 'Close your Eyes' and other hardcore tunes from the rave era. I love the really powerful kick drum on K9 law on the Spacepimp EP and very early on I find myself liking the EP except for the last track which I feel is out of place. Unfortunately a lot of music which I like on my first listen tends to get dull after a while. I certainly found this with As One's Reflections. -Ed

I guess this goes to show how wide the range of opinsions on IDM is. Spacepimp bores the hell out of me, while As One's reflections is still growing on me a year after it's release. Every time I listen to the album, I hear nuances and subtle tones that I did'nt catch the previous times. The tracks are honest, emotive and depict a beatiful soundscape. Best of last year for me, and I think a lot of other listeners... sashainboston

Same here. I even mixed the REFLECTIONS tracks with current IDM tracks, and to me, the sounds are never outdated, and could go well with most electronica(Even Harold Budd or early Kraftwerk LP's). But, I will say the album that still haunts me (as well as some of my fellow IDM'ers ) is SAW II. I have the brown vinyl version, and with all the vinyl surface noises, it's still one of my darkest albums in my collection... Derek
