Howdy,

I'm interested in hearing what the list members who have heard this track thing about the out of key "guitar plucks" used in this track? I find it an amazing track, but wonder how other people react to their playing the guitar in varying degrees of off-keyness (for lack of a better description) on it?

If you already didn't know Amorphous Androgynous (A.A.) is just another name that Dougans and Cobain (FSOL) go under. There is an A.A. album called Tales of Ephidrina which as another similar song as to Study o Six Guitars called Mountain Goat. Well, I like it. Has anyone heard both 'ISDN' and the 'Ambient 4: Isolationism' albums? I'm sure FSOL have sampled some of their "creatively tuned" :) guitars from a track on 'Isolationism' - it's about the second or third track on the first CD. Unfortunately I don't have the details on me. Considering that "A Study of Six Guitars" first appeared on 'Ambient 3,' I doubt they did any sampling of the next comp in the series. C. -- cspot@hyperreal.com (Chris.Hilker) "I feel like I'm being electrocuted."

Well, I considered that before I sent the message. The tracks that appeared on the comp were released elsewhere, for the main part, so they could have sampled the track from the original album, rather than the compilation. c'mon chris, most of the stuff on the virgin ambient series was released in the 70's... ample time for FSOl to find it, sample it, loop it and eat it... (as the saying goes)
