Ha...got your attention?
NIN's new remix release, 'Further down the spiral,' came out last
week(?), and it wouldn't have really interested me and I probably would
never have bought it, but thanks to my friend Eric (NIN freak!) I didn't
miss two new Aphex tunes.
'At the heart of it all' and 'the beauty of being numb' are alone worth
the 8.95 for this 'specially-priced disc.' 'Heart' sounds like 'I
care...' material, dark with a cool french horn blowing through it. I
don't know about 'Beauty', strange pig-like sounds in there, but still
cool. 'Beauty' is actually in two sections, the first (about 30
seconds?) created by Trent and his road band, the rest by RDJ, but they
mixed in the end with 'eraser.over.out' (the next track). Neither
tracks sound like remixes, definately original material (like most of
RDJ's remixes).
Also have remixes by Coil for those who like them. :)
