I heard a rumour that he was really called Laurence Gardner and came from Manchester, England :) no shit... laurent is definately french. moved to england at the end of the eighties to train to be a chef (?). got into the house scene and became a dj at the hacienda in manchester. moved back to france....recorded various tracks.... started fnac records....became a globally famous dj.. he recorded `acid eiffel' which is one of the most emotional records i have ever heard. pure bliss. have heard him referred to as laurie gardner but then i've heard sven vath referred to as stan vest...... later matt ------------------------------ matt isxmcd@evn1.nott.ac.uk ------------------------------ purveyor of mad lifted beats ------------------------------
