For those who like some nice Goa-trance, check "Silicon Civilisation" by Kode IV . Never heard of them before, but this one is great! Smooth trance with some ambient breaks and weird voice-samples. It's on KKrecords (belgium) Kk109 cd & lp. This label has a lot more interesting stuff, they can reached by email on kknz@kkrecords.be Cya! Hmm, they could be from SF, it's mastered at Pyramind Sound in SF. People involved are: P. Ziegelmeier, Goa Gil, Ariane, R. Shea and Hans Schiller. The "thanks-to" list says: In memory of Hans Schiller 5-27-1994, so I think this guy is no longer on this planet. They must have changed their style quite a lot, there are no signs of anything industrial on this release (apart from the title :-) Cya! Well, seeing as how my wife's ex-band were labelmates of Kode IV's - and how they stayed with Peter & Hans when they played in San Francisco a few years ago - I'll comment. "This must be the same guys after a style change operation." - yes, or as I am often wont to say, "Former Industrialists with a clue" (-:

Well, let's put it this way, Peter Ziegelmeier was at the S.F. Black Dog show. The curious-looking woman with him (who sort of resembled Paula/Alaura Ex-P. Orridge in a way; she had long braids/dreadlocks and a pair of black hot pants and black nylons & black boots to match) might have been Ariane. I suspect that noticing the attention that PWOG (also on Kk) got didn't go unnoticed by Peter & Hans. (Of course, any change in direction could only be for the better, since their Industrial was pretty cheesy.) The interesting thing is that my wife says that Hans Schuller was the one who did all their (Kode IV's) music and who owned all their equipment, so now she wonders who has it all ... (She would also like to thank Timo for posting Kk's e-mail address, so now we can send Josef some hate mail for never paying any royalties that she's owed (-: ) I suspect that Hans died from complications due to AIDS. That's too bad; Jennifer said he was a nice guy ... another one lost. Sigh. - Greg
