actually, it was a single 12", black sleeve and a blue stripe down the middle. it didn't look like a promo, and it came from a "one-stop" distributor, which would never sell promo releases, not that this would matter much anyway. many dance stores also belong to several record pools, or have several subscriptions from one pool. they usually sell most of what they get from them. i'm pretty sure it was on elektra, and it was listed in the reggae section on the distributor's order. strange.... on now: new wagon christ david *+ *

Hmmm...all the promos I've seen are as Teep described: white sleeve with a vertical rectangle in the center that contains some artwork and track info. Here's the fucked-up part, though - Sire totally mislabelled the 2 12"s. They list the speed at 33 1/3 rpm when there's no way in hell the tracks could possibly be meant to be played that slow. Also their track times are wrong, prbably due to the speed mislabelling... - Matthew
