I dunno, but everything I've seen on Metatone (brilliant little label BTW) has the same thing etched into it. I've wondered if they have a connection with Rephlex, but I guess it must be the pressing plant if _3_ labels have the same thing.

Porky (George) has been in the trade for many years now... has a studio down around Shaftsbury Avenue now... Good cutting place for vinyl and digital alike. B

As far as I know, Porky's an engineer at one of the UK pressing plants. I've been hearing about "A Porky's Prime Cut" being etched into runout grooves since the early '80s, and it probably goes back a good deal farther than that. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@rt66.com)
