There are a couple of great tracks on that release ("Macbeth", particularly),
but as much as I love Sonic Youth, for the most part it's just them
screwing around. I'm thinking something more along the lines of some
really spooky dark ambience... why don't you make a little suggestion to
those "former industrialist" friends of yours (wink!)

I specifically mentioned the Feelies because I think that they're later
albums (_Only Life_ in particular) are a great example of how truly
trancy rock can be in capable hands -- if you don't believe me, check out
"Away", "For Awhile", or "The Undertow" from that record.
