Dislike of particular music which is pop does not imply that ALL pop music is bad, I agree Tai. When a raver looks down upon all pop music, without giving it a chance, or just having an unconditional dislike...a prejudice...for it all, then that is what I call being "elitist"...a bias for music that is listened to by a few. They think they're "cool" (or atleast different) since the music isn't part of the mainstream/masses. They think they're unique, but in fact, most of the time they're following a trend. Many people catch on, and it becomes a fad, and when this happens, many find another type of music and do the whole thing over again. For some, it's about fitting in with the "unique" "cool" crowd; but for others, there is a true love for the music, and it's perfectly fine to follow the trend in this way, but flailing at other musical styles, scenes, and the people who are in them is uncalled for! For example, watch/listen how many breakbeat DJs communicate about other music. Anyway... I was just told there's a William Orbit remix of a One Dove song...which? And I've been suggested to listen to mainly the One Dove remixes...so, their other songs aren't that great? Not IDM or anything? -DJKC
