i don't know much about the small spots in boston, but i can tell you a bout the bigger stores in the area.... HMV in Harvard Square seems to always have a pretty big collection of imports and you can usually find what you are looking for there, or have them order it....they are a little more expensive than other places...but....they have a better selection IMHO Tower Records in Harvard square and in Boston have a big selection of compilations and the more mainstream technoish stuff (moby...etc.) but also not as mainstream titles like plastikman.....and their prices are much better, plus you can use $3 off coupons if you have 'em... newbury comics is also pretty good, sort of a cross between hmv and tower but more towards the tower side of things.... if your looking through cutouts, newbury comics on newbury street (and i think the one in harvard square too) and tower records in harvard square sometimes have a really good selection...but you really have to look and be lucky... good lukc -john oh yeah, this is if your looking for CD's...i know little about shopping for vinyl
