While in Toronto this weekend I picked up a few new releases, most notably:
CJ Bolland - Camargue (Remixes) CD 28:00m
FUSE - Train Trac (Remixes) CD 40:00m (approx)
and I finally got PowerPill 'Pacman' on compact disc!
The CJ Bolland CD is excellent. 3 new mixes, plus a Radio Edit of one of
the mixes, and the orginal album mix. The radio mix is a edit of the
brilliant Summer mix. New bassline, and a few new female vocals. It
seems a bit faster, but I couldn't be sure. The next mix is called
'Beyond The Mind's Eye', I think! It reminded me of a very clean Aphex
Twin tune. The 'Galaxy' remix is my fave. Totally different than the
original. Kinda trancey.
The FUSE disc is okay. 5 new mixes, one by Vapour Space. One huge 13
minute opus that is quite good. All in all, though, not the best choice
as a single from the album. What about 'Dimension Intrusion' or 'Theychk'?
Oh well.
