Point well taken. That said, as far as not releasing a CD, I dunno if the format is all that important, but he did release the 2xLP on Zhark, Pantheon of Fiends, so that's gotta count as a full-length release of some sort or another, as well as his 'Harpiscorpse' full-length. It's my understanding that there's a lot of stuff in the pipeline, too. Unfortunately, this question of "productivity" is more likely a reflection of each artists' economic conditions. Snares has labels beating his door down for releases (or so it seems - I'm sure reality is much different). Abelcain, on the other hand, has a full-time job. I know that Marty doesn't really do shit except work on his music when he's not working his job, and he'd probably release more stuff if he had more time to work on music. That's not to take anything away from Snares music. We all benefit from the fact that he's able to make a living off his art. On the other hand, I've talked to a lot of people who consider themselves fans of Venetian Snares, but have never heard of Abelcain, and in my mind, that's criminal. cheers w --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
