Somewhat accurate. Sound more like Kevin Shields' stuff than Gas or
Fennesz. It's a lot more melodic than Basinski, Gas or Fennesz ever
were; more 'written', less experimental, although it's not the word I
wanted to use (but nothing seems to fit best). Try Slowdive's
"Pygmalion", which was just reissued on Castle, or better yet, try to
find some Seefeel or "Pentamerous Metamorphosis" by Global
Communication / Chapterhouse. Closest things I can think of off the
top of my head, but there are numerous others these days. But you're
on the right track with the City Centre Offices and Highpoint Lowlife
labels. Dub Tractor's newest would probably be up your alley
(incidentally, it's on CCO too -- check the n.ln "Astronomy For
Children" for a HPLL cue).
Francis.
