before you all discuss this i'd like to point out one thing because
the media is blowing this up to a level where it's merely turned into more bad press for iran.
western music has been illegal in iran since 1978 when the shah was overthrown. what is happening
now is the new president is a hardliner and is reminding the people that they can be fined for
playing/selling western music. is this going to change all the stores in ahwaz and tehran selling
cds of eminem, madonna, deep dish, and prince? probably not. it's just the current president
flexing his muscles a bit, nothing has changed.
