Request to make this more interesting: as well as just listing records, can we get a 'why you liked them so much'?
eg
Ø - Kantamoinen (sounds like nothing I've heard recently, very synths but atmospheric and emotional)
Unknown - Grim Dubs 1, half of 2, and 3 (dark, atmospheric, energetic, bass heavy awesomeness)
Izu vs The Andies split 12" (particularly the Andies' extended stream of consciousness squelch oddessy, but basically for taking IDM back to the days when it was 95% inspiration and 5% polish rather than vice ve3rsa)
Skream - Midnight Request Line (4 tha dubstep massive)
Animal Collective - Feels (for sheer bounceyness!)
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour (guilty pleasure time)
Boris vs Merzbow - Sun Baked Snow Cave (NOISE!!!!!!)
I think some of those might actually be from 2004, some of them definitely aren't IDM, but they're all things I've got into this year...
