look to the list for announcements, everybody advertises here who plays
LA. (pretty much)
radio resources -
also KXLU 88.9 (santa monica area) has some nice shows & guests (best
station in LA hands down! f00k KCRW!).
KUCI (irvine) also 88.9 has a nice show called digitalnimbus(.com) which
has local info etc.
i think you can stream both from the web.

http://www.killradio.org has a show on 90.7 KPFK also...
as far as spots, i don't know of any regular nights. the venues vary
depending on the promoters. but echo park & silverlake seem to get a
lot of shtuff. maybe you should start a regular night yourself ;-)
