my roommate also thought I was listening to music from horror movies. generally, he wasnt too comfortable with it. my new roommates won't even let me play anything that's not hiphop or skapunk. and I think most of the world population is total wuss because very few people enjoy the music / noises discussed here. as for me, ae (garbage is my all-time favorite), boc, aphex twin and so on have definitely put-to-sleep tracks, especially once you're used to them. besides that, some of the things i can remeber now are: pan american and to rococo rot some funkarma some deadbeat mira calix mum charlie haden and kenny barron - night at the city (it's jazz) and others .
