cool. I feel much the same way -- for instance, I like a lot of Greg Davis's stuff, which is electronic with an acoustic guitar. It's done really well, though, so I don't feel like "oh man, there's a guitar." one of the things I've grown to appreciate about idm is that it really pushes the whole sonic quality of the sounds used. Sometimes, the sound of a real instrument is just what's needed. Same with vocals. I do think one of the things about vocals and real instruments is that since other examples of those sounds are readily available, people pay more attention to them.
