I'm also interested in this but from the view point of how you do the
scrolling text using flash. I know this is hugely off topic but maybe
someone could give a few pointers?

i remember a discussion a long time ago about a site that listed cool
designer websites. i'm looking for sites in particular that use flash
that have scrolling text that uses both up and down buttons as well as
a scrollbar. i think i saw a "music" related site like this recently
but i can't seem to find it again
