I saw an article in the NY Times Arts & Leisure section in either 1989, or 1990
describing the new dance scene in the U.K.
They covered 808 State, Adamski, and a few others. I picked up the 808 State
album, and was hooked.
I was addicted when I bought Cabaret Voltaire's "Plasticity". I was expecting
Mal's vocals, and this entire album was smooth electronic workouts, with nice
samples. After a few listens, I got it, and I still pull it out and blast "Delmas
19" and "Resonator"
