hate to break it to you but you're most likely not going to get too far with your query here. why not? it's simply too open to interpretation. i'd suggest just lurking a bit, jot down some names when the description sounds interesting, then scouring the net a bit. run over to cdnow to check out sound samples. find some good internet radio. check the warp site (www.warprecords.com) and listen to some sound samples. read some reviews on some online zines (try the below URL, try igloo mag, try forcefield.net, explore links), and just start piecing it together.
i say this only because i fear if you solicit recommendations from a list of people with very well-defined tastes, you may get steered awry and never come back. :)
