Yea, I lived in Minneapolis until July of 2k, so I moved about two years
ago.
I know there's still a lot of experimental stuff there, though. Matt
and crew still do the Hello Music thing at First Ave., John Jindra is still
booking shows, Radar Threat still has his amiga parties, Woody McBride
is doing a techno thing at the 7th St., etc... Try hooking up with guys
like Jace from History of the futurE (www.hotf.net) and you can find a
lot of interesting stuff.
