I was toying around with the idea of a "musical
spectrum" of styles, kinda like a colorwheel for
music, except that it would have to be three
dimensional (maybe 4-dimensional?) and it would be too
complex, really. For me, anyway... Something along
the lines of what you get when you play around with
Amazon's music recommendations system, but
"definitive" (ha!).
OK, so this is really stupid, I know, but I thought
someone might be amused by the tiny sampling of 'idm'
artists in "style groups" I came up with. Obviously
the part that has hip-hop type stuff is just ignorant
on my part, and the rest isn't that amazing either, so
just don't take me seriously:
