If you want cool shows, you should see about promoting them. I will say
this: in a city the size of Seattle, with as many music outlets as there are,
it's likely that anyone you want to see has been passed over by promoters
as not making for a financially viable show. You're welcome to prove them
wrong, but unless you can make money on the show if a 100 people come, and
you can NAME 50 people who will show up, it's not likely to make money.
I don't want to discourage people from promoting shows -- quite the
opposite. But you should realize there's no gate keeper stopping rad
performers at the city limits. You can e-mail Rich Devine and ask him
to come play. But promoting (to paraphrase Coppola) is a way to
spend money, not to make it.
