I saw I am Spoonbender in San Francisco with Kid606 and another time cant
remember with whom, maybe Trans Am, also in SF. Not impressed whatsoever, in
fact would discourage from seeing them live. Way too pretentious, such
boring music, that I almost fell asleep on my feet.
Not that they werent talented, just lacking any heart, seemed like one of
those art school outings where everyone pretends that they are hearing
something deep while in fact they are bored shitless.
It seemed like the show was less about music and more about stardom. The
band was making the I-dont-give-a-shit-cause-I-am-such-a-cool-rock-star
faces the whole time. I couldnt figure out if they were serious or joking.
Sorry for such strong judgements, I am just annoyed at how much publicity
they are getting. They were all over the frickin newspapers in SF.
