Thanks for the entertaining breakdown.
I downloaded the first disc of Drukqs yesterday and skimmed through it
really quick, and my impression was:
The production is great, the album just has the feel of an album done by
an artist at the top of his game. I know that's kind of an abstract
"review", but I can't really describe it any other way. It just has a
real sense of energy and life to it that only comes from inspired art.
When I heard he was coming out with a new album, my hope was: If he
doesn't come out of retirement with something completely different and
groundbreaking, I hope he at least comes out of retirement to show the
thousands Aphex Jr. bands that he's still the best at working within the
style that he created.
That's all I have for now.
