Haven't heard the new track but I have the second Peel Sessions CD. I agree with you completely about EP7. Never really understood the hype. This is just speculation on my part but I think most of the tracks on EP7 were created before they discovered MAX/MSP. I came across this ae MSP patch that plays differently every time you start and stop it with the space bar. It's pretty cool.
