I don't know why I even bother but ............ Actually, this is all
total bullshit. Trent makes 99% of the synth patches and all the guitar
patches. He loves the nord mod. I heard it straight from keith
hilderbrandt's mouth; I'm a producer and I live in new orleans. I don't know
where you get your information from but its all wrong. While keith did do
some sound design on 'the fragile,' his main work was to be a programmer. Go
back and read more carefully. Almost everything that winds up on NIN albums
is created by TR; he's a control freak. While others do contribute, not
very much of it appears on the albums. And I don't know who told you about
the guitar patch thing because that is bullshit too. Adrian Belew came in to
play guitar but guess who sets up the string of effects pedals and guess who
makes the patches in turbosynth? Trent Reznor not Mr. Belew. Go to Adrian
Belew's website, he explains it all. They did use his work on 'the downward
spiral' too; it wasn't unused. He came in again on 'the fragile' sessions
and played on two tracks, but its definitely not all samples from the past.
'the fragile' is definitely all about alan moulder and trent hooking mad
effects pedals on the guitars. Believe what you want to believe though.
