I believe that both the Hi Scores EP and Gescom's Keynell were re-created from low-quality .jpegs. it's quite evident on Keynell (esp. cos they inverted the colors), but although I've never seen an original, i imagine that yes, it would look nicer on close inspection. but it's a toughy on first glance :D

It sounds to me like "Kid for today" is the token old BOC track on this EP. it sounds more dated than the other two, and sounds as if it were from a pre-Hi Scores era (it has some of the same qualities as "smokes quantity", from twoism and music has the right to children). personally, the only song i think is "ok" is "amo bishop roden", which is good, but hasn't quite sunk in yet. but hey, it's Boards of Canada, their stuff never has a "bam! this is good!" quality :D to me it's always been a "hey, i wanna listen to that album again.. and again.. and again" cheers, derek - - - - - Alice could not help her lips curing up into a smile as she began: "Do you know, I always thought Unicorns were fabulous monsters, too! I never saw one alive before!" "Well, now that we HAVE seen each other," said the Unicorn, "if you'll believe in me, I'll believe in you. Is that a bargain?" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
