I just made the transition to Logic. I love it. The audio engine can use Digidesign hardware, and TDM plugins, so you don't really have to worry about Logic or Pro Tools, logic and Pro Tools work fine. I would say that protools has probably the most intuitive and efficient audio system I've used. Logic, on the other hand has excellent MIDI/synchronization functions. They make a good pair.
