I have this musician friend who lives in New York, he was in a great math-rock band called The Cranium. They split up and he did some various projects, one of which led him to meet Bjork. She heard some of the music, liked it and offered to fly him out to Europe to record some stuff for her. Yup, flew him to Eurpoe, just like that. I don't know her personally, but by all accounts Bjork records tons of music from an extremely diverse range of musicians, then adapts it into her style. She is extremely nice and good hearted, which is how she can get away with this.
