not getting into what a "respectable artist" is... but... you seem like one
of those types that doesn't want one of "their" artists to expand (i.e. gain
any popularity). the idea of being a musician (at least, if you bother to
release material), is to have people hear it. I think you're missing the
main thing here... Which is: People got exposed to good music. It's idiotic
to make this out to be negative.
