No, It's not the wrong acronym. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms decided to pay Speaking In Tongues, the venue for last friday's Brinkmann event, a visit along with 30 or so of Cleveland's finest. Apparaently they were under the impression that there was an illegal bar/speakeasy at Speak In Tongues and were quite pissed/embarrassed when they found nothing but 200 people getting down to Brinkmann's Soulcenter-styled tech-house. So, just to be difficult, the ATF & cops decided to ticket anybody with an open container for drinking in a public place even though Speak In Tongues is a private BYOB club. Needless to say the people who were ticketed were pissed but even that couldnt bring us down from the high that Brinkmann & RRR were taking us to. Finally, as the ATF and police were leaving, the clueless police chief said, "hey you guys need to keep that radio of yours down" and when we told him it was a concert he said "but were are the instruments?" Yup, definitely one of cleveland's finest... -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
