Ho hum.... If it goes thump thump thump I'll buy it on vinyl. If it goes whoosh, or thump wiggle crackle wiggle I'll buy it on CD. Some labels release different versions of tracks on vinyl than on CD, or mix up the track order, or even take a few tracks out on the vinyl release. Often CDs have shorter versions of tracks than the vinyl.... ("Remedy" by Basement Jaxx is a prime example of the vinyl release being completely different from the CD... but that's not exactly IDM?? Although I detected a few twinges of digital trickery on many tracks)...... I haven't bought a CD though in nearly a year.... Aaron np: Antonelli Electr.
