Actually, the proper usage of the word 'Dance' applies to rhthmic movement of 'body' involving steps - so in fact idm may be misconstrued as armchair mind (dance) music when in fact it should apply to the aforementioned physical form of movement. Of course I appreciate that this type of music has some applications as 'mind dance' but only in the paradigm of the mind - not the body. By this I mean that we cannot actually measure the incidence of 'mind dance', but we are somehow aware of it (like dreams); therefore we are dealing with a grey area in idm. Perhaps we should accept that this form of music that we are familiar with and appreciate - can be construed as dance music in essence, but we should not limit it to the mental sphere. The only thing that is concrete - is that the music is an intelligent art form.
