What bugs me about "intelligent ( . . . )" is that it encodes a compliment to itself and its audience into its very name. Can you think of any other genre-name that does this? Are there sections of record stores labelled "superior hip hop" or "excellent bluegrass" out there? This is a name that doesn't just refer to a field, but pats everyone in that field, and by extension everyone who listens to that music, on the back, and it can't help but generate a creepy, smug aura. second post of the day, time to get a life, Drew
