I'm not sure that the press are 'eating it up', more like greeting it
with widespread indifference. Not helped either by Talvin's
pronouncement 'Nobody asks where a tomato comes from. A tomato is a
tomato'. Of course it is, Talvin.
Others on the list were (yawn!) Manic Street Preachers (a friend of
mine keeps calling them the Janet Street Porters by mistake),
Stereophonics, Chemical Bros. er...can't remember anyone else and I
don't think I want to.
Anyway congrats to Talvin for his award and for coming up with a much
better album than I thought he was capable of.
