Hi,
You might want to check out Jake Mandell's little DnB excursion "Dlue Veacon'
on Prime Deep. Also 'Current Value' put out a fantastic EP; superfast intricate
breaks over a beautiful sad somewhat ambient underpinning, on 'Position Chrome'
PC22. The track title for side A is Creative Robot. I highly recommend it. Amp
Tek put out a nice 'weirdbeat' sounding track, also with a sad melodic undertow
on their album Declassified on Eclectic [e002(EP)], which will also satisfy the
IDMhead. Downpour's 'Windstorms broken microphones ep' on Drop beat might also
do the trick if you like your breaks real chopped up. I would also recommend a
lot of Christoph de Babalon's stuff, and of course early Tom Jenkinson. That's
what immediately jumps to mind. Good luck with your hunt, it is also what I
look for, but unfortunately I think it is a very small minority of what is
being put out in that 'genre'.
Regards,
Christophe
